Yampolsky Music Academy – What We Do

Yampolsky Music Academy was founded in 2000 by Miron and Natalia Yampolsky.

Following the centuries-old European tradition refined by the Russian School, we teach the technical mastery of the instrument for the ultimate freedom of musical and artistic expression.

Performance Opportunities

We provide ample performance opportunities for our students – from the Community Center to the Kennedy Center to Carnegie Hall. We also bring live music to seniors – from retirement communities to assisted living facilities to nursing homes.

Competition Opportunities

We present our students with competitive opportunities, encouraging and preparing them for local, regional, national, and international competitions. A list and schedule of competitions and other activities is included in the ACTIVITIES/INFORMATION document.

Orchestra Performance

We prepare our students for the most competitive orchestra auditions, including all levels of the American Youth Philharmonic Orchestra, where many of our students have held Concertmaster and Section Principal positions, in addition to District, Regional, All-State, and National orchestras.

We encourage and coach our students to play chamber music, expanding their musical horizon into exciting repertoire and the joy of ensemble playing.
